Please join us on Saturday, August 22, 2026 for our 1st Annual Community Schools Parent Conference!
This special event is brought to you by Santa Fe’s 7 Community Schools (including Kearny Elementary!), but it is open to ALL Santa Fe Public Schools families.
Whether you're looking to learn more about district programs or connect with local support, this interactive conference is designed to empower you with the tools and contacts you need to support your student.

I am happy to announce that we are continuing the Food for Kids Program at Kearny this school year!
The program operates on a "Grab and Go" basis. I will have the food bags ready and will send an announcement through ClassDojo and SchoolMessenger whenever they are available. Distribution will occur roughly twice a month (every other week), though schedule details may vary.
Please keep an eye on your messages, and if your family could use extra support that week, feel free to drop by and grab a bag!

Air Quality Update
Due to smoke conditions and the current air quality alert for Santa Fe, Santa Fe Public Schools is calling indoor recess this morning.
We will continue to monitor air quality conditions and provide an update this afternoon.

Air Quality Update: Though smoke conditions have begun to improve on the west side of Santa Fe, air quality in most areas of the city remains in the orange, red, or purple range.
All students will remain indoors for afternoon recess today. In addition, outdoor athletic practices will not be permitted. SFPS will continue to monitor air quality conditions and make adjustments as needed. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff.

School supplies will be distributed while supplies last.
There is a limit of 3 supply bags per vehicle.
Students must be registered SFPS K–12 students. Please have your student ID (lunch number) available when you arrive.
We are grateful to Nusenda Credit Union, with additional support from State Employees Credit Union, for helping provide school supplies to our students and families.
